The season 2010-2011 proved to be a very up and down one for Rutherford ladies. A mixture of excellent and terrible results, losing a lot of long serving players but also gaining some brilliant new lasses. Christina Adamson was awarded the Captains band throughout this season and has began to do it great justice. She is a great role model to the squad and is going to continue onto as skipper into 2011-2012. The presentation evening saw a few well deserved awards given out. Two '100 Appearances Awards' to Nichola Brown and Ashleigh Waters. Nichola also won top goal scorer with over 20 goals. 'Player of the year' was awarded to team Captain Christina Adamson due to receiving the most player of matches throughout the season. Kirsty Stubbs won 'Players player of the year' voted for by her fellow team mates showing just how much she is thought of and respected in the squad. Lastly chosen by the management was 'Most improved Player' which was awarded to Caroline Campbell, who has came on leaps and bounds since her return to the club this season. All the players who won the awards throughally deserved them and worked extremely hard to achieve what they have and are an inspiration to th erest of the team. Overall this season has been a learning curve for the squad and I think it has put us on track for the upcoming season. The entire squad like myself are ready to get stuck into 2011/2012!
